Special days, creative challenges, festive moments, and new adventures

September at Muzeiko brings exciting experiences, colorful discoveries, and plenty of play to welcome the new season with a smile. The month began with the cheerful Sports Explorers Marathon, which kicked off the “Get Moving” initiative.

The program continues with a series of special days, creative workshops, and themed activities that turn every visit into a true adventure.

This weekend, young visitors are invited to “Profession Under the Magnifying Glass: Sports Medicine and Athletics.” Together with sports physician Dr. Georgi Maksimov and athlete Nikol Andonova, children will explore the secrets of training and learn how to take care of their bodies like real champions. The day also features favorite activities such as Science with a Lesson: Diver or Swimmer? and journeys through the Solar System in the Planetarium.

On Sunday, Muzeiko will celebrate the Firefighters’ Professional Day with a spectacular demonstration of firefighting equipment in the museum’s parking lot. Families will have the chance to meet fire safety experts, explore a fire truck, and learn more about this heroic profession.

As part of Sofia Municipality’s festive calendar, Muzeiko will take part in the Sofia Day celebrations and welcome all children with free admission. Families can enjoy workshops, demonstrations, and fun discoveries, while the lively Forest Stage performance introduces the fascinating world of insects through music, dance, and play.

For our international guests, Muzeiko offers special formats in English. Children can join Agility and Balance Challenges (suitable for ages 3+), testing their dexterity and coordination through fun, active games. Families are also invited to the Planetarium show “A Walk in the Solar System” (suitable for ages 6+), available in English — a captivating journey to Mars, Venus, and beyond, learning how to tell the difference between stars and planets and exploring the big question: could there be life elsewhere in the Universe?
